Some GPS devices will route you to our back fence or unmaintained roads and off-road trails. We recommend you follow the directions here:.

You will arrive at a red brick house with a white lattice and a big gate,

our Welcome Center.
Stop to collect a map, flyer, and literature.
It is also a gift shop with discounted books, tie-dye t-shirts, jewelry and other items. There is also a small museum room.

The Farm Welcome Center is often the first stop for people entering the community. It has information about the community and our businesses and non-profits as well as our events calendar. Many books written and published by our Book Publishing Company are on sale at the Welcome Center, along with tie-dye wall hangings and other gift items!


The Farm Community, including The Farm Store, is open for visitors from 9 to 7 every day, except for Christmas, New Years, and the 4th of July holidays.
Our Welcome Center is open Monday - Friday, 1-4 Central time.

- Directions from the East -
Take I-40 to Hwy 840 (just east of Lebanon)
Turn right onto I-65 south then continue with "Directions from the North" below.

- Directions from the Nashville Airport -
Take I-40 West toward Memphis
Keep left to take I-24 via exit 213A toward I-440 - 3.2 mi.
Immediately merge right onto I-440 via exit 53 toward Memphis
Merge right via exit 5 onto I-65 - 2.6 mi.
Stay in left lane to take I-65 South toward Huntsville
Continue with "Directions from the North" below.

- Directions from the Nashville Airport -


Alternative Route
Take I-40 West toward Memphis - approx. 5 mi.
Stay in left lane to take I-65 South toward Huntsville
Continue with "Directions from the North" below.

- Directions from the North -
Take I-65 South to the Saturn Parkway (396)
Take exit on the right to 31 to Columbia
Take a right on 412 - becomes Hwy 43
Take a right at Route 20 (Summertown)
@ Sonic & Shell Gas Station
@ Summertown Market, Route 20 veers to the right
Turn right onto Drake Lane
Approx. 1/2 miles past volunteer fire dept.
just past high tension power lines
@ the Lawrence County-line sign
Approx. one mile down a straight-away; take a right onto Walker Rd. as Drake's Lane bears to the left

- Directions from the West -
I-40 to Exit 143
Exit 143, Hwy 13 to Linden
Linden Hwy 412 E to Hohenwald
Turn right onto Hohenwald Park Ave. for 4 blocks
Turn left onto 4th Ave.
Turn left onto Hwy 20 East
Turn left onto Drakes Lane (approx. 3 miles before Drakes Lane, you will see "J&C Grocery" on the left. At Drakes Lane you will see a large white pole with the sign "The Farm", & a green "Lawrence County" sign)
Approx. one mile down a straight-away; take a right onto Walker Rd. as Drakes Lane bears to the left

- Directions from the South -
I-24 or I-65 North to US 64
Turn left to go West through Pulaski to Lawrenceburg
Turn left to go North on US 43 and go for about 15 miles
Take a left at Route 20 (Summertown)
@ Sonic & Shell Gas Station
@ Summertown Market, Route 20 veers to the right
Turn right onto Drakes Lane
Approx. 1/2 mile past volunteer fire dept.

The Welcome Center Campground
$14 per night


Located in the hills of southern Tennessee, enjoy the great outdoors and our community with a stay at the Welcome Center Campground. The Farm is a gated community.The gate is open everyday 7am - 7pm. You may exit at any time by driving up to the gate to automatically open it.

• Water hydrants are located at sites 2 & 3 •â€¨â€¨
• Run water for 30 seconds before drinking •


• Please close the outhouse door & lid after use to prevent flies •


• The grill is for use with charcoal only. Please extinguish grills or fires before going to sleep or leaving the campground •â€¨â€¨
• Please do not use gasoline or accelerants for campfires •â€¨â€¨• Please do not break branches off the trees for fires •
