About The Farm
From its roots in 1960s Haight Ashbury to its satellite projects and communities on six continents, over the past half century The Farm has become known for many things — natural childbirth and midwifery, healthy lifestyle, gourmet vegan cuisine, creative arts and performance, permaculture and carbon farming, advanced electronics and alternative energies, ecovillage design and networking, disaster response and relief, and its partnerships with and support for indigenous native cultures. At our core we remain a futuristic rural village of families and friends inhabiting five square miles of rolling field and forest in southern middle Tennessee.
